Job summary

The Clorox Company in Reno, NV is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and ensure reliable operation of facility equipment and machinery. This safety-sensitive role supports minimal downtime and safe, compliant operation across building systems and production lines.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors. The position requires 2+ years in industrial maintenance and a strong adherence to GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems required.
  • Exposure to PLC and VFD programming/troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Basic welding, machining, and hand tool experience required
  • Must have a solid understanding of industrial maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills to develop and execute work plans effectively.
  • Basic ability to analyze problems, troubleshoot, and find solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with colleagues and document activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Must comply with all GMP and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and perform physical tasks associated with equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to safety for yourself and others in a high-risk environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing work schedules and assignments as necessary.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and other standard computer systems

  • Previous experience in equipment or facility maintenance is often required (1-3 years depending on the complexity of the job).

  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and breakages, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Your role at Clorox:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, and facilities within an organization. Their work ensures minimal downtime, safety, and efficient operation of equipment and systems.

This position is considered a safety-sensitive position, meaning, a lapse of attention could adversely affect the safety of others by resulting in injury, illness, or death, including without limitation a position that includes the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or operation motorized vehicle.

Starting Pay Rate: $32.69/hr + $1.50 shift differential

Shift C: Week 1 – Sunday to Tuesday / Week 2 - Sunday to Wednesday

Shift Hours: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

In this role, you will:

Eligibility Criteria (Internal Candidates Only):
  • Must be in “good standing” with the company, any written warning or above are not eligible to apply.

  • Minimum of twelve (12) months in your current department and have a minimum of six (6) months in your current position after skill block is sign-off. If not signed off within the department the twelv e (12) months criteria is the only criteria that must be met.

  • Shift Transfers must meet twelve (12) months in the department and shift. Some exceptions will be made based on the needs of the business.
