Job summary

BHJ USA, LLC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the mid shift in Logansport, IN. The role involves performing preventative maintenance on production machinery, ammonia refrigeration systems, and building facilities to ensure continuous operations.

You will identify faults, manage inventory of parts, and document actions while following safety guidelines and PPE requirements. Prior experience in welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and building maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and Vocational Technical school.
• 1-3 years of experience or equivalent education.
• Experience in welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia refrigeration and some building maintenance.
• Experience in the meat processing industry is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
• Maintain all shop, engine rooms and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion
• Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)
• Daily rounds
• Report any hazards to management

BHJ USA, LLC. is a leading supplier of fresh/frozen meat blends to both the wet and dry pet food industries. We are seeking a motivated individual to perform a variety of tasks in any number of areas in the operation including install, set up, maintenance and repair of plant equipment and ammonia refrigeration system in the processing of raw materials for the pet food, pharmaceutical and feed industries. Maintain general maintenance of the building and facilities by performing the following tasks:

Will be exposed to cool and wet conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and be able to work around raw beef, chicken or other similar raw materials and odors.
