Job summary

ARAUCO North America, Inc. in Bennettsville, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrical & Mechanical) to join our team. The role supports maintenance, reliability and safety across industrial equipment, with varied hours including potential on-call rotations.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 5 years of industrial mechanical experience and strong troubleshooting skills. SAP experience is a plus; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial mechanical experience, including bearings, hydraulics, pumps, and gearboxes.
• Industrial welding and fabrication experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• SAP experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and partner with Operations to resolve issues efficiently.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions.
• Support assigned mill areas by addressing safety, quality, reliability, and downtime concerns.
• Coordinate daily and planned maintenance activities with Operators, Planners, and other crafts.
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and follow-up work requests.
• Assist with developing and improving preventive maintenance programs.
• Provide maintenance team coverage and support as needed.
