Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing equipment across the facility. The role handles electrical and mechanical repairs, PM tasks, and requires a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read schematics.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of maintenance experience (or 2 years with relevant training) and will operate within GMP and safety standards. Competitive pay and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years maintenance experience, or 2+ years with relevant training.
• Proficient in single-phase electrical systems and motors.
• Advanced knowledge of three-phase electrical distribution.
• Able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits.
• Proficient with electrical testing instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for complex equipment repairs.
• Interpret equipment manuals and communicate parts needs.
• Experience with preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills to prevent downtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems across plant equipment.
• Document all work in the daily shift report.
• Maintain inventory levels by logging parts usage and flag low stock.
• Conduct general building maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Perform electrical repairs on single- and three-phase power distribution.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment control wiring and electrical systems.
• Inspect equipment and perform corrective actions within the Class B Maintenance Technician scope.
• Adhere to safety procedures, GMP standards, and proper repair practices.
• Execute assigned equipment repairs and preventive maintenance independently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
