Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The position requires effective troubleshooting, parts management, and safety compliance.

With a focus on emergency response and detailed documentation, candidates must demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, problem-solving abilities, and physical ability to meet job demands.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and identify solutions effectively.
• Skillful use of various hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS) to log work orders.
• Capability to analyze situations, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Forklift certified (will train and certify).
• Welding, fabrication and some electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Regularly inspect and service equipment according to maintenance plans.
• Diagnose malfunctions in equipment, identifying root causes.
• Respond to urgent equipment failures outside of regular hours.
• Maintain inventory of common replacement parts.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
