Job summary

Prime Materials Recovery, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician in Orangeburg, SC to maintain and repair process equipment, building infrastructure, and office areas.

The role requires reading machine drawings and schematics, plus welding, plumbing, electrical, and process control experience. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a 2-year technical certificate, and at least 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 Year Technical School certificate required.
• Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.
• Define parts that need to be ordered after troubleshooting is complete.
• Maintain inventories of tools, spare parts, and consumable supplies.
• Requisition tools, spare parts, and consumable supplies.
• Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain repair or maintenance records.
• Read and understand machine drawings, building prints, electrical and plumbing schematics.
• Develop preventative maintenance program for all equipment & facility related equipment.
• Perform equipment installations as required and defined by Engineering.
• Experience in welding, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, and process controls.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and facility.
• Operate forklift and scissor lift as required.
