Job summary

Verdesian Life Sciences in Missouri seeks a skilled maintenance technician to weld, fabricate, and repair stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel on plant equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, and general facility repairs to keep operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate has hands-on welding proficiency (MIG/TIG/Stick), strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding fabrication including layout and design, and repair of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery.
• Assemble, install and/or repair electrical on three phase and single phase circuitry
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Replace or repair defective equipment and parts
• Perform minor building repair and upkeep
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints and manuals
• Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery
• Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Ability to be fit tested and don a mask
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
