Job summary

Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a federal facility in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will perform proactive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to keep operations safe and reliable.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, EPA 608, a current Secret clearance, and at least three years of facility maintenance experience, with strong safety and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Technical training and certifications in maintenance, mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical systems, industrial equipment, or related fields.
• Ability to provide documentation of annual continuing education and training relevant to the position.
• At least three years of experience performing maintenance and repair of commercial, industrial, or government facility systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on facility equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain, service, and repair machinery, tools, and facility infrastructure.
• Respond to maintenance service requests and emergency repair situations in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company procedures.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician / Mechanic to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical building systems and equipment at a federal facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This position plays a key role in ensuring the facility remains safe, reliable, and fully operational through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with multiple building systems, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

• Experience working in a team-oriented facilities management or operations environment.
