Maintenance Technician - 1st or 2nd Shift Manufacturing - Base Salary to 76k/year - Howell, MI

  • Our client, a family-owned company with over 100 years of history, is experiencing growth through expansion and is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st or 2nd shift to support their expanding operations.
  • The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing various equipment; troubleshooting and modifying mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems; following technical specifications and safety procedures; and updating service documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain various equipment, including conveyor systems and production machines, to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
  • Install, troubleshoot, replace, repair, adjust, and modify mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems to ensure smooth and efficient operation of machinery.
  • Adhere to electrical codes and follow detailed manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Read, use, and update shop prints and manufacturer’s manuals to accurately service and install equipment and distribution systems, ensuring they are correctly maintained and updated.
  • Follow all plant and corporate safety and food safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment and comply with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a production environment, or a two-year technical degree
