Job summary

Gorman & Company, LLC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support two affordable housing communities in the Madison, WI area. You will perform routine repairs, safety checks, and preventive maintenance to keep residents safe and comfortable.

Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance repairs, seasonal property tasks, on-call responses, and making-ready vacant units. If you take pride in hands-on work and great service, apply today.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience in property management or related field
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair
• Customer service mindset and ability to work in a team
• Valid driver’s license and insurability
• On-call availability for emergencies

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
• Maintain property exterior and seasonal tasks (fall cleanup, snow removal)
• Conduct daily property walks for safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists
• Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Maintain common areas and exterior spaces and coordinate with vendors and contractors
