Job summary

Leggett Dynamics in Carthage, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Multi-craft) to support our automotive production lines. You will perform day-to-day maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2–4 years of working experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform lift licenses.
  • Basic knowledge of computer usage and maintenance work management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance on production lines and facility.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance with limited supervision.
  • Execute corrective maintenance on machinery and building components.
  • Maintain maintenance records and service logs.
  • Adhere to safety policies and OSHA standards.

We, at Leggett Dynamics, are searching for a Maintenance Technician Mon - Thurs 4:45AM - 3:15PM within our Operationsteam to help support our Automotivebusiness. SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing day-to-day maintenance and operational corrections for the production lines and facility, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and building infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely. This position also serves as a multi-craft technician supporting production processes, capable of performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related maintenance work.

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Technician (Multi-craft)?
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and company maintenance procedures.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and adjust or repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues with the operational equipment that is affecting the quality or output of the production product.
  • Perform and oversee routine maintenance, including inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to systems and equipment with limited supervision and guidance during shift.
  • Execute corrective maintenance on machinery, production equipment, and building components as needed.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, service logs, and equipment performance.
  • Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.
  • Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Must be able to interact with management and other employees: to troubleshoot and repair issues with plant production equipment; must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial platform lift license; must possess problem solving skills, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement; Have capability of working in a team environment.
  • Working schedule: Monday to Thursday from 4:45 am to 3:15 pm
Education and previous experience
  • High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred (is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of computer usage and maintenance work management systems.
  • Prefer at least 2-4 years of working experience in the trained area in industrial manufacturing.
