Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Level 4 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role maintains production equipment and facility systems, performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to ensure uptime.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma with 6 years in a manufacturing environment, experience with HVAC and electrical/mechanical systems, and the ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 years in a Manufacturing/Production environment as a Maintenance Technician.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience with HVAC maintenance and repair; working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting on all equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment including CNC machines, boilers, HVAC, lighting, air systems, hydraulics, and cranes.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs promptly.
• Document all maintenance activities per company procedures.
• Support and collaborate with the Maintenance Team on projects.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Details

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Level 4 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility systems.

In This Job, You Will

• Perform mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting on all equipment.
• Perform routine mechanical, electrical, and electronic preventative maintenance on plant equipment including CNC machines, boilers, autoclaves, HVAC systems, general lighting, air compressors, hydraulic systems, and overhead bridge cranes.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs in a timely manner.
• Document all maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.
• Support and collaborate with the broader Maintenance Team on projects and initiatives.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience working in a Manufacturing/Production environment as a Maintenance Technician
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)
• Experience with HVAC maintenance and repair
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
• Millwright mechanic with Industrial Automation experience
• Knowledgeable in 3-phase and single-phase power distribution systems, motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with computer, math, analytical, and planning skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,600.00 - $121,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
