Job Description

The Maintenance Tech Lead mentors and facilitates the performance of the Maintenance Tech I, II, and III team by scheduling, assisting, training, and monitoring work completion. Will participate with other Leads in coordinating work to perform at an optimal level; will assist in the recruitment of talent, provide orientation, and assess during probationary period helping to perform 30, 60, 90-day evaluations and review with individual caregivers and managers. Takes a leadership role with planning and execution of daily operation of Centra’s facilities. This will include assisting Facilities Management Leadership with oversite with managing maintenance staff by providing inspection and surveillance of defects and necessary repairs, creation and assignment of corrective work orders, assigned preventive maintenance work orders, oversee equipment installations and alterations to building systems. A firm understanding of general maintenance such as patching, painting, ceiling tile repair/replacement, flooring repair, plunge and snake plumbing obstructions, electrical consisting of bulb, ballast, and driver replacement, filter replacements, minor carpentry, minor door repairs, thermostat calibration, and general maintenance activities or other items as assigned. The ability to understand building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Assist with project related MEP inspections, fuel polishing and vendor scheduling, knowledge of NFPA standards, The Joint Commission EC and LS standards, tracking and monitoring DEQ/EPA requirements, and implementation of ICRA and ILSM. The Maintenance Tech Lead would be responsible for adequate documentation, quality control, and rounding.

Education, Experience, And/Or Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of hand and power tools and repair techniques
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to function as part of a team
• Ability to read technical documents and follow verbal instructions
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Minimum of five (5) years’ general facilities experience in the construction, maintenance, or installation field(s) or three (3) years successful completion of Carpenter requirements.
