We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician Lead– Level 6 is responsible for performing advanced, multi-craft maintenance and repair on complex production equipment. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing a wide range of machinery to ensure optimal performance. The Lead Technician also reports equipment issues, conducts failure analyses, partners with the Maintenance Planner to evaluate and improve preventive maintenance, and mentors lower-level technicians. The goal is to ensure manufacturing areas meet or exceed standards for lithium-ion cell production.

Essential Duties:

• Preventative Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot issues, identify faulty operations, and recommend improvements.
• Training & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor technicians, provide technical support, and share maintenance techniques.
• Team Collaboration & Communication: Work with various teams to maintain equipment, troubleshoot problems, and document actions.
• Documentation & Compliance: Keep accurate records, develop standard work procedures, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Workplace Safety & Organization: Follow safety procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and organize tools and equipment.
• Tool & Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools responsibly.
• General Responsibilities: Monitor inventory, read schematics, inspect parts, and support team tasks.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE, including full hazmat suits if necessary, with pre-employment fit testing.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education

• Required: High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: Associate degree or higher in a technical field.

Essential Qualifications

• 7.5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Ramsay assessments.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Basic math skills.
• Working proficiency in English.
• Availability for weekends/overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with CMMS and lean principles.
• Experience in cleanroom/high-spec environments.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and schematics.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.

Physical Demands:

Activities include sitting, walking, standing, and lifting up to 35 lbs. Occasional team lifts over 35 lbs. are not required.
