ABOUT US:

MI Metals, Inc. is a leading aluminum extrusion company headquartered in Oldsmar, Florida, with four manufacturing plants located in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. As a business-to-business (B2B) company, we specialize in providing high-quality aluminum extrusion products to various industries. SHIFT:

The maintenance team consists of four shifts with three techs on each shift. The shifts run on a Continental 12-hour shift that are three days on, two days off, two days on, then three days off.

The shifts are A, B, C, D.

12-hour days (7A-7P)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Leading a team of maintenance personnel and assigning tasks.

· Maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities as directed, regular maintenance inspections and record findings in the CMMS

· Ensuring needed repair/spare parts are ordered.

· Overseeing day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance activities.

· Guiding and training maintenance staff on proper repairs and servicing of equipment

· Ensuring that work orders are complete and that the work that other maintenance employees have done has been done correctly

· Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, hydraulics, pneumatics plant wide and have basic knowledge of PLC’s and controls.

· Read and understand equipment manuals to perform maintenance required.

· Complete multi-craft tasks on all equipment and repair equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.

· This position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals.

· The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling.

· Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including general housekeeping of the work area after completion of the repair.

QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR SKILL REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strongly prefer certificate such as Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT) from the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) validating hands-on and supervisory skills in daily machinery lubrication, covering lubricant handling, application, storage, selection, troubleshooting, and program management focused on maintaining and optimizing plant lubrication practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in a maintenance management software (CMMS) and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
