API Heat Transfer is seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead at our Iron Ridge, WI facility. You will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure peak production with hands-on repairs of laser cutting equipment, CMMs, welding systems, and facility infrastructure.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and fast response to minimize downtime while supporting a high-mix fabrication environment in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

About the Role

We are growing fast and need a technician who can jump in and keep our operation running at peak performance. You'll work directly with laser cutting equipment, CMM machines, welding systems, and facility infrastructure. This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly reduces downtime and improves production flow.

What You'll Do

• Take ownership of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and support laser machines, welding systems, and CMM inspection equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance with urgency and accuracy to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in full compliance with OSHA and LOTO requirements.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (fabrication experience is a strong plus).
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills - you know how to get equipment back online fast.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where reliability matters.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tight spaces.
• Exposure to heat, noise, welding operations, and moving machinery.
• Use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection as required.
