Educational Background Required:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Manufacturing Processes

Skills and Training

  • Strong combination of technical education and experience with background in electrical, machining, tools and hydraulic press maintenance and repair.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Metal stamping and / or forming background required.
  • Problem Solving and Decision-Making Training an asset.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills, good written and verbal skills.
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making

Essential Functions Required for Job

  • Disciplinary and/or functional management of employees
  • Daily assigning of tasks within the team (in coordination with the Maintenance Planning Engineer and the relevant Production departments) relating to mechanical preventive maintenance work, breakdown repairs and planned repairs
  • Organizing external support and/or spare parts for urgent repairs
  • Escalation to the Maintenance Manager if problems cannot be solved independently
  • Ensuring that all production areas are adequately covered for carrying out breakdown repairs
  • Identifying the need for training within the team, and planning and execution of the necessary training sessions
  • Responsible for the correct use of SAP-PM/OPRA in the team (e.g. work order processing, bookings)
  • Responsible for ensuring that safety standards are observed for any work undertaken by the Mechanical Maintenance team (e.g. lock-out / tag out, fall protection systems when working at height)
