Madison Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our multifamily properties well-maintained and residents proud to call them home. You’ll perform routine tasks, respond quickly to requests, and work with vendors for specialized projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred in multifamily settings.
• Certifications such as HVAC, EPA, or CPO are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service while working with residents and teammates.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, and basic repairs.
• Repairing and maintaining plumbing, HVAC, electrical fixtures, carpentry, and related systems.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and concerns from residents.
• Ensuring tools and materials are safely stored to prevent injuries.
• Coordinating with vendors for specialized work like landscaping and asphalt.

What You’ll Do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties are well-maintained and our residents are proud to call them home. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism toward team members and residents.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, including painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, and filter replacements.
• Repairing and maintaining plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical fixtures, carpentry, and more.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and concerns.
• Ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are safely stored to prevent injuries.
• Partnering with vendors for specialized work like landscaping and asphalt repair.

What You’ll Bring:

• A basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• A proactive attitude, flexibility to work various schedules, and a strong commitment to customer service.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one-year previous maintenance experience is preferred, especially in a multifamily setting
• Certifications such as HVAC, EPA, or CPO are a plus.
