Job summary

PVS is seeking a maintenance technician in Detroit, MI to perform routine and emergency maintenance on plant equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support equipment installations and preventive tasks. The role requires lifting, on-call availability, and strong problem-solving abilities.

You will work with pumps, motors, valves, and critical process systems, while upholding safety policies and the Nicholson Nine principles.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of building/equipment maintenance related experience.
• High School Diploma completed.
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation, and mechanical systems throughout the plant
• Troubleshoot and repair process equipment with minimal downtime
• Maintain and inspect critical systems, including those involved with handling liquid chlorine, ferrous chloride, and ferric chloride
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Assist with equipment installations, piping modifications, and shutdown/start-up activities as assigned
• Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including building repairs, lighting, plumbing, and grounds upkeep to ensure a safe and functional work environment
• Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding principles. Environmental, Health, Safety and Security are a responsibility of every PVS employee
