Village at the Bluffs is a small, 51 unit apartment building for independent seniors, age 62+ in Colorado Springs. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform various maintenance and janitorial tasks to ensure the functionality and appearance of our community. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including electrical repairs, plumbing, and HVAC system checks.
• Perform maintenance on apartment turn overs before move in, in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or management.
• Daily upkeep of the interior of the building to include but not limited to, vacuuming the hallways, sweeping and mopping the foyer, dusting the sitting areas and cleaning public restrooms.
• Upkeep of the grounds, including mowing, shoveling and trash pick up.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• After hours on call.
• Maintain frequent communication with the property manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a maintenance role is required.
• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems and plumbing.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
