Job Juncture seeks a Maintenance Technician in Dearborn, MI to repair, install, and dismantle machinery according to plans and diagrams. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems, and program PLCs and robot controls (FANUC and ABB).

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, welding skills (Arc, MIG, TIG), and hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs. Strong English communication and mechanical aptitude are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Completion of millwright courses.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Welding skills (Arc, MIG, TIG).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment including FANUC and ABB robots.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs & HMIs.
  • Mechanical aptitude and skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Repair automated machinery and equipment.
  • Support and complete predictive and preventative maintenance tasks and maintain documentation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical machine problems.
  • Understand machine setup and operation.
  • Spare parts selection and procurement.
  • Maintain building equipment (HVAC/plumbing) possibly via contractors.
  • Provide building maintenance as required.
  • Basic machining and fabrication.
  • Work to blueprints and sketches.
  • Program and modify PLC programs (Allen Bradley & Siemens).
  • Create/modify FANUC and ABB robot programs.
  • Troubleshoot using schematics and PLC logic.
  • Supervise outside contractors and ensure safety standards.
  • Maintain basic building equipment and repairs such as lighting.
  • Collaborate with engineering on spare parts and training during installation.
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to plant safety standards.

Job Description — Maintenance Technician

A manufacturing client is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for repairing, installing, or dismantling machinery and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. This is accomplished through the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. The role also requires troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems, and repairing malfunctioning equipment such as motors, pumps, valves, and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Repair automated machinery and equipment
  • Support and complete predictive and preventative maintenance tasks and maintain documentation
  • Troubleshoot mechanical machine problems
  • Understand machine setup and operation
  • Spare parts selection and procurement
  • Maintain building equipment, such as HVAC or plumbing, possibly through contractors
  • Provide building maintenance as required
  • Basic machining and fabrication
  • Ability to work to blueprints, sketches, etc.
  • Program and modify PLC programs (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
  • Create and/or modify FANUC and ABB robot programs
  • Provide effective and efficient troubleshooting expertise on all automated machines using schematics and PLC logic
