Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Maintenance Trade Associate to provide operational support to skilled maintenance trades and help employees gain hands-on training and practical experience. The role supports development of practical skills for career progression within the district or external opportunities as experience and qualifications are achieved.

The position emphasizes assisting journeymen, performing supervised tasks, maintaining records, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school, completion of a GED, or trade school is required.
Graduation from an accredited trade school is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license appropriate to the vehicles that may be assigned.
One year of maintenance experience is preferred.
Certificate of completion/graduation from a maintenance trades program is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides direct support to journeyman or skilled maintenance and construction technicians in duties related to construction, maintenance, or repair of buildings and equipment.
Performs tasks under supervision to gain hands-on training and experience.
Maintains accurate daily records and logs of work performed.
Operates trucks and other light equipment if qualified to drive for the district.
Uses two-way radio and approved communication methods to coordinate tasks.
Maintains safe work areas and equipment.
Assists with preparing work areas, transporting materials, staging equipment, and keeping a clean, safe environment.
Demonstrates initiative and progress toward skilled trade roles.
