Description

The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

This is an on-site role, reporting from one of The Collier Companies’ community offices in Tallahassee, which offers over 700 miles of trails, a subtropical climate, and incredible opportunities to immerse yourself in Florida’s rich history, new commercial opportunities, and family-friendly attractions. It is home to Florida State University and Florida A&M University. Tallahassee is in the top ten best places to live in Florida.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s standards. The Technician is skilled in troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, and providing solutions with a customer service attitude. Responsibilities may include repairs in HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliances.

Qualifications

Skills – Show Us What You Got:

  • Universal EPA certification is a plus!
  • At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and eager-to-learn attitude.
  • Apartment housing experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented in completing work orders.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency on-call.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service.
  • Must have basic tools and pass a basic maintenance test.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid in-state driver’s license required.

Note: This is a full-time position with emergency on-call duties and overtime during peak seasons.
