Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting and repairing all production related equipment throughout the plant.
Essential Functions

- Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance activities per written instructions and job knowledge of the specific piece of equipment to prevent breakdowns. Communicate improvement ideas (add/subtract) element to the PM instructions to help improve the equipment OEE.
- Respond timely to an equipment breakdown to trouble-shoot root-cause of problem, identify possible solutions and implement the solutions. These activities may include identifying and selecting components required to complete the repair.
- Communicate equipment status with operators and appropriate management personnel.
- Utilize hand tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, multi-meter, pipe threader
- Requires work outside of and inside of the machines. Requires various positions for a few minutes to a few hours, such as balancing on narrow footing, climbing, reaching forward/overhead, squatting, kneeling, stooping and/or lying on back, and maneuvering in small tight spaces. Surfaces may be slippery due to coolant and oil. Work off ladders and scissor lift.

Skills and Competencies
- Technical Capacity
- Requires working knowledge of industrial machining, plant systems, building maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.

- Must have working knowledge and comply with all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedure and have the ability to identify hazardous energy sources and isolate.

- Shop use of measuring devices and test equipment (Torque pressure, force transducers)
