Job summary

glidewelldental is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Irvine, CA to perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and refrigeration work. The role requires 7+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience and specialized HVAC/PLC know-how. Apprenticeship or equivalent education is acceptable.

Candidates will contribute to preventative maintenance, safety, and facilities improvements while supporting production equipment and on-site repairs. HVAC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of seven years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial and PLC experience required.
  • Experience with five to twenty ton A/C units.

Responsibilities

  • Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and refrigeration operations including installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment.
  • Regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
  • Responds to work requests with general facilities repairs in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and repairs machinery and equipment.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by following SOPs and safety rules.
  • Performs routine checks and evaluates maintenance needs.
  • Provides recommendations for facilities improvements.
  • Maintains spare parts and consumables; assists in project planning.

Job description

Essential Functions:
  • Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting and refrigeration operations including, but not limited to installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Performs regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Responds to work requests by performing and completing general facilities repairs in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and repairs various machinery and equipment.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and wearing protective equipment as required.
  • Performs routine checks and evaluates necessary maintenance to the facilities.
  • Provides recommendations for facilities improvements.
  • Maintains and organizes spare parts and consumables.
  • Performs minor construction and installation of fixtures and accessories.
  • Trains and coaches internal team members.
  • Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifying appropriate personnel and following safety protocols.
  • Detects faulty operations, defective materials and reports those and any unusual situations to appropriate supervisor or manager.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance of production equipment during machine service.
  • Provides materials lists, method plans and schedules for small to medium sized projects.
  • Participates and is actively involved in the production improvement process.
  • Demonstrates root cause analysis techniques and recommends Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) procedures.
  • May create drawings, diagrams and schematics after analyzing data.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial and PLC experience required.
  • Previous experience with five (5) to twenty (20) ton A/C units.
  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education and experience.
Special Requirements/Certification:
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • HVAC certification.
Pay Range:

26.00 to 30.00/hr.
