Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform high-level technical support within the maintenance department and train technicians on advanced tasks. The role focuses on reliability, equipment integrity, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to uphold safety and GMP standards.

Responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting UPS and MCCs, and ensuring compliance with AbbVie electrical standards across the site.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ years experience or relevant certificate with 5+ years experience or Associate degree with 3+ years experience
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
• Electrical safety training 70E
• VFD knowledge
• MCC troubleshooting
• Generator and inverter maintenance

Job Description

Independently perform Senior level technical support within the maintenance department. Trains lower-level Technicians on more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

Shift is rotating 12 hour, 4 days on, 4 days off

Work hours are day shift, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm

• Adhere to AbbVies code of conduct
• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
• Capable of training others on tasks.
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
• Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Conduct testing of conductor insulation, transformer coils, circuit breakers and related switchgear on a routine basis using testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), whether used for Distributive Control Systems (DCS) or emergency lighting, located throughout the plant.
• Trouble shoot, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on motor control centers.
• Knowledgeable in the operation of Soft Starts and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Demonstrate understanding of AbbVie Electrical Standards, NEC, and GMP requirements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. Experience or Relevant Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. Experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
