Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in Pittsburgh is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to maintain a safe, smooth-running property and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more, train teammates, and help implement safety programs while collaborating with management for department needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills across hotel systems.
• Ability to train Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations.
• Experience developing and monitoring safety and ergonomic programs.
• Knowledge of building maintenance including minor electrical and plumbing.
• Ability to read and follow directions in English.
• Flexibility for emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance for all areas of the property.
• Work with plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety and injury-prevention programs.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, interview, and schedule department needs.
• Ensure exceptional guest experience with a +1 Service attitude.

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

Ensure exceptional, positive experiences for our diverse team members and guests.

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance for all areas of the property.

• Enjoy a variety of plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting, and HVAC system repairs.

• Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to ensure work and safety compliance with ergonomic, emergency-response, and injury-prevention regulations

• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair, and plumbing

• Ability to speak, write, and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English

• Flexibility to be available for emergency repairs
