Job summary

Gilmore is seeking a seasoned maintenance mechanic to implement Total Productive Maintenance in our Texas facility. You will maintain and maximize uptime of CNC machines and plant systems, ensuring safety and quality to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities include coolant management, hydraulic/electrical/pneumatic maintenance, PMs, troubleshooting HVAC/plumbing/electrical, and using the Mango ticket system. Night/weekend overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or trade certificate with seven years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Seven years hydraulic, electrical or pneumatic maintenance experience.
  • Industrial manufacturing/assembly line experience.
  • Proficient with basic office software.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Lean TPM experience preferred.
  • CNC machine experience preferred.

  • Maintain coolant for CNC machines and dispose coolant properly.
  • Verify coolant concentration and top off coolant when required.
  • Use forklift to dispose of facility trash and metal shavings daily.
  • Verify restrooms are stocked.
  • Troubleshoot and repair shop equipment including PMs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical as needed.
  • Utilize Mango maintenance ticket system to track work orders.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Job description

Role Synopsis

This is a key role to implement Total Productive Maintenance for the Gilmore facility. Maintain and ensure maximum operating efficiency of all equipment and machinery in accordance with departmental safety policies, procedures, and standards to meet production schedules including desired quality levels.

Essential Duties & responsibilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

  • Maintain the coolant for all CNC Machines and properly dispose coolant.
  • Verify the coolant concentration and top off coolant when required.

Qualifications/Work Experience
Education
  • Associate degree from two-year college in a related field or certificate or diploma from a trade school in related field and seven years' experience in the maintenance of manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Essential
  • Seven years hydraulic, electrical and/or pneumatic maintenance mechanic experience.
  • Industrial manufacturing / Assembly line experience.
  • Proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to perform maintenance duties with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime if required.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
Preferred
  • Mechanical experience with CNC machines.
  • Experience with plumbing and electrical work codes in manufacturing
  • Certification in hydraulics and or electronics or a related field.
  • Lean manufacturing methodology and TPM experience.

  • Speak/hear and use specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Capability of properly using standard office equipment including a computer with a keyboard.
  • Ability to wear and utilize Personal Protective Safety Equipment (PPE). Required equipment includes steel toed shoes, safety glasses/goggles. Additional PPE may be required, e.g., safety harnesses, Fire Retardant Clothing (FRC), hard hats, or other as assigned.

  • Work conditions will vary and may include working up to twelve (12) hours per day or more in an outdoor environment with exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
