Qualifications

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using observation and testing instruments.
  • Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
  • Perform boiler chemical testing and wastewater pre-treatment.

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech II to join our community! As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components. We offer a standard Monday - Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime, and provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using observation and testing instruments.
  • Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and control systems.
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
  • Perform boiler chemical testing and wastewater pre-treatment, record results, and make chemical adjustments.
  • Conduct safety checks on boilers and perform repairs as needed.
  • Inspect and maintain motors, belts, fluids, filters, and other parts.
  • Perform basic welding repairs.
  • Lubricate and inspect mechanical parts.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial equipment repair; military experience considered.
  • Pass maintenance knowledge assessment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Lockout/Tagout experience required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
