UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech II to join our UniFirst Family! As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components. We operate on a standard Monday - Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime. We have an immediate opening and provide on-the-job training.

  • Compensation: $24.00 - $33.00 Hourly Range

What you’ll be doing:

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and testing instruments.
  • Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
  • Repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and control systems.
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Test and adjust boiler chemical and wastewater systems, record results, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Perform safety checks and maintenance on boilers and equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain motors, belts, filters, and other parts.
  • Perform basic welding repairs.
  • Lubricate and inspect machinery parts.
  • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience; military experience considered.
  • Ability to read blueprints and maintenance literature in English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Lockout/Tagout experience required.
  • Ability to work overtime and lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
