Maintenance Technician II, The Pines - Brockton, MA

**$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR NEW HIRES!**

Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician II performs various skilled maintenance functions including minor repairs that do not require a license in areas such as electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, painting, and heating/air issues.

Essential Functions of the Position:

(Any one position may not include all duties listed, nor do the examples include all duties that may be found in this class.)

  1. Performs all clean out and demo work for turnover responsibilities to ensure apartments are ready in a timely manner.
  2. Performs general carpentry duties including wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
  3. Performs drywall patch work, painting, replacement of cover plates, and cleans common areas.
  4. Monitors and organizes inventory; picks up and delivers supplies using company or personal vehicle.
  5. Removes snow from the property during any hour.
  6. Maintains grounds by mowing lawns, pruning trees and shrubs, and removing weeds and debris.
  7. Performs preventive maintenance duties and tasks.
  8. Assists in maintaining equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards.
  9. Performs emergency on-call maintenance service as required.
  10. Assists at other properties in the region as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and/or carpentry

Preferred Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Trade school or college degree
  • CAMT certification
  • Completion of Greenlight Maintenance Learning Plan
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Skilled in at least 2 trades (electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Technical proficiency with cell phones and tablets
  • Availability for on-call activities during off-hours for urgent needs
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English
Physical Capabilities:
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the property unless otherwise approved
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work with arms overhead, stand/walk for long periods, climb stairs, bend to lift objects, and shovel snow

**$500 payable with first paycheck, $500 after 90 days of employment (new hires only)
