Schedule: Full-Time
Shift : Evenings - Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11:30pm. There will be some adjustment of shift and days depending on the work to be done as well as on call.

The role you’ll contribute: Applies paints, stains, and other surface treatments to structural surfaces and property. Prepares surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, torching and/or smoothing prior to applying finishing materials. Assists other trades as needed.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Applies protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment and other property
· Maintains existing paint surfaces by matching/tinting appropriate paint products
· Properly stores, cleans and disposes of all supplies and equipment used per departmental policies and procedures
· Replace sheetrock, tape and float, paint all interior and exterior surfaces, and do minor carpenter work
· Assist in operation and general maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems. Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested
· Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under general/limited supervision
· Responds to in-house Work Orders and PM’s on daily basis, and in a timely manner
· Under general supervision may be required to respond to emergency calls
· May be required to take call in accordance with facility in a timely manner
· Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.Maintains record ensuring compliance with TJC, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards. Responsible for keeping current on maintenance logs
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
REQUIRED:
· High School Education or GED
· Two years of maintenance experience
· Apprentice License required in Texas only
· Knowledge of various paints, chemicals and combinations available for use.
· Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
· Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately
· Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies
· Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner
· Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
· Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
· Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment
