The Facilities and Business Operations Department is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician II focused on paint care. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the campus, ensuring a safe, functional, clean, efficient, and attractive living and learning environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, providing services, and responding to requests from customers and staff. At this level, the position requires intermediate painting skills and a solid understanding of building systems maintenance. Additionally, you will be expected to assume on-call responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Completion of an approved apprenticeship program for multiple trades and 3 years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $17.64 to $22.00. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
This position is eligible for 5% Shift Differential Pay of the pay range minimum.
Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
May be required to participate in respiratory, medical examination and training in use of respirators.
