Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position-Related Duties and Key Job Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and service machinery and equipment support systems. Perform minor electrical repairs and installations.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; run tests, isolate problems, remove/replace failed components.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance systems for all production and batching/processing equipment.
- Execute predictive and preventative maintenance practices for all production equipment.
- Perform systematic preventative maintenance, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Understand VFDs, motors, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting with a multimeter.
- Identify and correct potential equipment problems promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure the work area is clean, safe, and orderly.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental personnel and management to optimize production efficiency.
- Follow all safety practices, rules, and company policies; report safety issues immediately.
- Read, understand, and comply with standard operating procedures and Safety Data Sheets.
- Document troubleshooting and repair procedures in CMMS.
- Obtain and interpret drawings, manuals, and procedures; create sketches or diagrams as needed.
- Prioritize safety in all operations, including Arc Flash/Shock hazards, confined space entry, LOTO, and handling hazardous materials.
- Enforce plant policies and report violations to management.
- Participate in meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recommend equipment for preventive maintenance programs.
- Perform other tasks and special assignments as directed by management.
Education and Qualifications
- Associates or Technical Degree (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance
- Experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
- Experience in high-speed industrial environments
Functional/Technical Skills
- Pass the Maintenance Technician test.
- Provide own tools as per the tool list.
- Ability to read one-line diagrams, P&ID, blueprints, and schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work at heights, such as catwalks and ladders, and in extreme temperatures.
- Visually identify defective parts and machine failures.
- Strong problem-solving skills; work efficiently under stress.
- Flexible to work shifts as needed.
- Proficient in computer use and software programs.
- Perform tasks safely to meet quality, service, and cost objectives.
