Job Overview:

Sign-On Bonus - $5,000

Shift: N1 - Sun., Mon., Tues; Alternating Sat. 6:30 pm - 7:00 am

The Spartanburg operation is a state-of-the-art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility, also hosting a full beverage distribution center. It is the largest KDRP manufacturing and distribution location, operating on TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles and Lean manufacturing. Associates are accountable to both a functional business unit and the full site operation, which uses advanced enterprise IT and manufacturing systems with highly automated equipment.

The Maintenance Technician II at Keurig Dr Pepper will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving process and packaging equipment to maximize production and uphold high safety and quality standards. The role involves enhancing maintenance procedures and manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on high-speed packaging lines.
  • Review maintenance documentation, communicate issues effectively, and utilize inventory systems.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing maintenance history, conducting root cause analysis, and supporting safety, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Support operators with adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
  • Assist other technicians and work with engineers and vendors on special projects.
  • Use tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices to modify machinery as needed.
  • Train and coach others on best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and follow company policies.

Safety

  • Follow safety policies and demonstrate safe behaviors.
  • Engage in safety coaching and report violations or incidents.
  • Participate in Job Hazard/Risk Analysis.

Quality

  • Comply with quality systems, metrics, and policies including QDS, SQF, GMP, and HACCP.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Delivery

  • Coordinate with other shifts on handoff issues.
  • Escalate issues using the DMS process.
  • Coach team members on maintenance procedures.
  • Gather data for problem-solving and work effectively across lines.

Cost

  • Understand production costs and use this information for decision-making.
  • Lead productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.

Total Rewards:

  • Pay starting at $35.80/hour, increasing to $37.60/hour after 6 months.
  • N1 Shift Premium: Sat. $2/hr, Sun. $2/hr, Mon. $1/hr, Tues. $1/hr.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Industrial Maintenance Degree or certificate preferred, or 3 years related experience.
  • Proficient in mechanical/electrical skills, including robotics (preferred).
  • Ability to read complex instructions, schematics, and use diagnostic equipment.
  • Safety conscious with emergency response ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks during shifts.
