Job summary

Lifestyle Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to oversee facilities and maintenance operations at a luxury apartment community in Charleston, SC. You will guide a team of direct reports to ensure safety, quality and timely service for residents.

The role requires HVAC certification (EPA 608 preferred), 2+ years in residential maintenance, strong customer service, and a valid driver’s license. On-site work with occasional emergency calls and seasonal tasks is expected.

Qualifications

  • HVAC certification required.
  • EPA 608 certification preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of residential apartment or facilities management experience required or combination of education and experience.
  • Proven customer experience delivery, strong time management and attention to detail, good decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Completes resident work and service orders promptly, delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Maintains community grounds, clubhouses, buildings, pools and common areas to uphold company quality standards.
  • Cleans work areas and uses tools/equipment according to safety standards.
  • Supports capital improvements and redevelopment of units; assists regional maintenance teams with site initiatives.
  • Handles emergency service calls on a rotation basis and assists with seasonal tasks like pool maintenance or snow removal.
  • Maintains curb appeal and cleanliness across the community, including pet waste management and trash removal.

Who You Are

The Facilities & Maintenance team at LC is looking for a talented individual to elevate our resident and community experience in a values-based manner reflective of our purpose. In this role, you’ll manage the facilities and maintenance operations at one of our luxury apartment communities, while guiding a team of direct reports to impact.

  • Completes resident work and service order requests or turns in a timely manner, providing outstanding customer experiences to residents.
  • Assists with upkeep of community grounds, clubhouses, buildings, pool and other common areas ensuring all areas meet Company quality standards.
  • Cleans work area, uses company tools and equipment as directed and in accordance with all required safety standards.
  • Support capital improvements and redevelopment of units, assist regional maintenance team in execution of sitewide initiatives.
  • Handles emergency service calls on a rotational basis, and completes seasonal tasks such as assisting with pool maintenance or snow removal during inclement weather.
  • Performs tasks to ensure upkeep and curb appeal to the community, such as maintaining cleanliness of pet waste stations and performing pet waste removal, trash removal or trash compaction as needed.
What You’ll Bring
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • HVAC certification is required
  • EPA 608, OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • 2+ years of previous residential apartment or facilities management experience required or combination of education and experience.
  • Proven customer experience delivery necessary, strong time management skills and attention to detail needed, and strong decision-making and problem-solving skills needed.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines at all times is essential.
  • Hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license and ability to operate company equipment, including but not limited to golf carts and maintenance vehicles

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have significant mobility (walking, climbing, stooping), manual dexterity (using tools, operating equipment, fine motor skills), and strength (lifting up to 50 lbs., sometimes more with assistance), often in varied environments with potential exposure to noise, chemicals, and temperature extremes, requiring stamina, good vision, and occasional long periods of standing/walking.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to an office environment with their primary exposure being on project work/sites.
