Job summary

Louisville Metro Government is seeking qualified maintenance staff to inspect, repair, and service equipment, buildings, and utilities. Under general supervision, you will handle carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical tasks, and move heavy items while performing preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license, with a willingness to work overtime and adapt to field inspections in challenging locations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, and services equipment, building structures, electrical and plumbing fixtures.
• Uses hand and power tools for maintenance on equipment, buildings and structures.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties for repairs.
• Replace ballasts, light bulbs, switches, and outlets.
• Move furniture, shelving, equipment, and boxes.
• Service HVAC equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Perform related work.
