Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Kansas driver''s license required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of general building maintenance or related trade experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting and general repairs.
  • Experience with remodeling and finish work preferred.
  • Familiarity with Life Safety Code requirements or healthcare/senior living maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Maintenance Technician for Assisted Living, managing day-to-day needs independently.
  • Complete apartment remodels/renovations including drywall, painting, carpentry and flooring tasks.
  • Respond to general resident and departmental maintenance work orders.
  • Repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, doors, fixtures and other building systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and Life Safety Code inspections.
  • Assist with apartment turnovers and move-ins.
  • Troubleshoot issues and determine repair solutions with limited supervision.
  • Maintain documentation of work and inspections.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized services.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and support campus projects.
