Job summary

West Marine is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the DC's equipment, grounds, and structures. You will troubleshoot conveyor issues, inspect sections, and handle electrical and mechanical repairs across 110V–480V systems, maintaining safety standards.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, welding certification preferred, and strong ability to read schematics and use MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding Certificate preferred.
• Prior conveyor repair experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing ALL electrical and mechanical conveyor system issues.
• Must have extensive knowledge and experience with A/C and D/C voltage; reading electrical schematics; ability to troubleshoot and perform 110V, 220V, 277V and 480V repairs and installs.

Responsibilities

• Respond, troubleshoot and repair conveyor operational issues daily.
• Perform inspections to assigned conveyor sections daily.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance functions on conveyor sections.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues (110V, 220V, 277V, 480V).
• Service and inspect main air compressor system and ancillary equipment daily.
• Monitor and maintain facility lighting and control systems.
• Operate and support PIT battery changing duties as needed.
• Support facility/operational projects as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment adhering to safety rules.
