Job description

WinnCompanies is looking for a dependable and customer service-oriented Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Baldwin Villa Plaza in Los Angeles, CA. This is a 201-unit residential property.

Carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and you! These are some of the most important things we need to maintain our properties and keep our residents happy. If you’re looking to make a difference with your apartment maintenance skills, knowledge, and excellent customer service, then we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds, and parking lots. This position requires a highly diversified base of knowledge and skills needed to maintain the property to satisfy ownership and management objectives.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM with an on-call rotation. Please note that the pay range for this position is $23.80 to $26.40 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs for a variety of areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, as well as basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs to company standard.
  • Help prepare empty apartments to be ready for the next round of tenant move-ins.
  • Maintain grounds through trash management and landscaping.
  • Complete all resident and site work orders in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of related apartment maintenance or other maintenance experience.
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC and/or carpentry.
  • Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
  • Availability for rotational on-call during off hours for urgent needs.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English.
  • Ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environments.
  • A valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical training.
  • CAMT certification.

Salary will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
