Job summary

Entegris in Decatur, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain and repair CNC equipment across all shifts. You will diagnose advanced machine issues, run precision alignment checks, and coordinate with vendors for timely PMs and repairs.

The role involves interfacing with Robotic loaders and multiple CNC brands to maximize uptime. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with machine tools, CNC maintenance, and PLCs, plus the ability to work across shifts and lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years machine tool maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Gib and Way Scraping and Turcite installation.
• Mechanical aptitude with ball screws and gears.
• Electrical aptitude including safety circuits, timers, HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Install, relocate, upgrade, and repair equipment.
• Service CNCs including EDM, wire saw, laser engraving, robot loaders, machine tools (Mazak, Gardner, GF+, Chevalier, Takamaz).
• Self-diagnose machine tool problems and lead repairs to completion.
• Run Renishaw Ballbar to measure axis alignment and adjust to micron accuracy.
• Program PLC ladder logic and keeper bits to diagnose Fanuc and Mazatrol machines.
• Lead OEMs for PMs and repairs as needed.
• Operate lathe and mill for custom fabrication and collaborate with operators to improve operations.

Entegris is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our Decatur, TX facility.

Shift Schedule Options:

1st shift (M-F 6a-3p)

2nd shift (2p-11p)

Dayshift (3-2-2-3 6a-6p)

Nightshift (3-2-2-3 6p-6a)

In this role, you will be responsible for providing advancedCNCmaintenance services to support the production goals of the company. With the need to control machine down time,a Maintenance Technician will be able to handle hands on repair and coordinate with vendors to achievemaximummachinereliability

What You'll Do:

• Work on equipment installation, relocation,upgrades,and repairs.


• Serviceseveraltypesand brandsof CNC'sincluding:EDM, Wire saw, laserengraving,robot loaders,machinetools (Mazak,Gardner, GF+,Chevalier,Takamaz).


• Self-diagnosehighly technicalMachine Toolproblems andleadrepairsto completion.


• Runthe Renishaw Ball bar to measureaxisalignment andpreciselycalculate the neededmechanical and electrical adjustmentstoset the machinetowithin microns.


• ProgramPLCladder logicandkeeper bitsto diagnoseand repairFanuc, andMazatrolmachinery.


• Establish communication protocolsfor drip feed programmingparameters, andPMCbackups.


• Teachand repair:Yaskawa,FanucRobotics,and other automated gantrymachine loaders.


• Troubleshoot, electrical components such as contactors, switches, relays, and controllers.


• Leadfacility capital projects, and comprehensive FMEA'sto help improve the manufacturing process.


• Must be able toschedule andcoordinatewithOEM expertsto complete PM's andrepairson time as needed.


• Operate Lathe and Mill for custom fabrication.Work withoperators to improve day-to-day machine operations and update documents if needed.


• Order parts andtrackmaterials list to complete upcoming projects.


• Prepare Metrics for maintenancecost, andmachine downtime.


• Be exposed to outdoor working conditions, and dusty or dirty environments, orevenclean rooms.


• Take part inafter-hours"On-Call"responsibilitiesas part of themaintenanceteam rotationlasting 7 consecutive days at a time.

What We Seek:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.


• 1+ YearsMachine Tool Maintenance background.


• Familiarity withrebuildsutilizingGiband WayScrapingandTurciteinstallation.


• Mechanical aptitude, working knowledge ofball screws, worm gears, transmissions, etc.


• Electrical aptitude, working knowledge ofsafety circuits, timers,servo's,HMIs,etc.


• Preferred knowledge in (Fadal, Haas,Mitsubishi, Hardinge, Okamoto and Chevalier).


• Diverse maintenance background including servicing:blowers, vacuum pumps, augers, gas furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.


• Retrofit, upgrade, and designhydraulic and pneumatic systems.


• Astute attention to detail tohelpdrive Safety andQuality.


• Able to climb stairs and ladders, and safely lift 50lbs.


• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)meetingNFPA 70Erequirements.


• Experiencedoperator ofEngine hoists, Cranes, Forklifts,ScissorLifts,ArticulatedBooms, andFront Endloaders.


• Utilize personal tools forprecision alignments including concentric shafts.


• Weldingto createnew physical structuresor modificationsforequipment.


• Meticulouslydocumentationusing Microsoft productsto capture and improve SOP's, inventory management, OEE, machine tool history, expenditures, and MTBF.


• SomeFlexibility in working schedule due to projects, breakdown situations,etc.


• Candidate must have the capacity tocomply withthe federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
