This position is for a full-time Maintenance Tech II at Ainahau I/II, a family affordable housing community in Honolulu, HI. This is a HOME/Market property. Candidates should have at least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience, with knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and basic computer skills are required; experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus. Salary range: $22.80 - $34.20/hour, with a typical starting range of $22.80 - $28.50/hour, depending on experience. Final offers will consider experience and current salary levels.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician II performs a variety of maintenance tasks, capable of repairing and maintaining most property items independently. Typically, this role manages properties with 100+ units.

Responsibilities

  1. Lock and key repairs and replacements, including weather stripping, door, and window functioning
  2. Interior repairs related to walls and doors
  3. Electrical repairs such as fixtures, lights, plugs, and switches
  4. Changing AC filters, coil checks, cleaning, and repairs
  5. Annual unit inspections
  6. Ensuring unit turnover within 5 days

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience
  • Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license, clean DMV record, reliable transportation
  • HVAC certification preferred

Background Checks and Drug Testing

Candidates will undergo criminal background checks, education and employment verification, and fingerprinting if required. Drug testing is mandatory, excluding marijuana/cannabis. Satisfactory completion of these checks is a condition of employment.
