Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring a skilled maintenance technician for a food manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot conveyor systems, and support production with reliable equipment operation.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will document work in SAP, collaborate with operations, and have opportunities for advancement.

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Work different ranges of hours such as full-time, overtime, or weekend shifts.
• Basic to advanced mechanical knowledge, electrical and building skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Perform complex mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement, stainless steel welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, and belt maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of new or modified plant machinery to support production needs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues through observation, auditory assessment, and use of precision measuring instruments, and effectively identifying and resolving root causes.
• Utilize SAP software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and communicate effectively with production and operations teams to optimize workflow.

Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. -- 6 a.m.
