Eaton’s IS AER FED division is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our Beltsville, MD location. The hours are 7am-3:30pm, and the hourly rate is $33.00. Salaries depend on skills, experience, and market conditions.

What You’ll Do

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting and repairs, with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions

• Perform break-fix and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, replace defective parts, and test equipment performance.
• Construct and modify physical facilities as needed.
• Perform routine industrial maintenance independently.
• Assist other technicians and support staff as directed.
• Support electrical work, including wiring, installing fixtures, and diagnostics, under electrician supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Two (2) years in industrial maintenance or an associate degree with one (1) year experience

Legal work authorization in the US without sponsorship is required. U.S. persons under ITAR regulations are eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four (4) years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Two (2) years in CNC machining maintenance.

Skills

• Adherence to safety and environmental standards (ISO14001, etc.).
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
