The primary responsibility of a maintenance technician includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility upkeep, ensuring all equipment and systems are operational, safe, and efficient to support daily manufacturing operations. This position requires the ability to work independently and use common sense to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Complete work order forms, follow directions, stay organized, and communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
  2. Perform all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
  3. Maintain maintenance areas and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations.
  4. Maintain accurate inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  5. Perform maintenance inspections and repairs.
  6. Serve as on-call maintenance during weekends and holidays for emergency service.
  7. Take direction and follow through as directed.
  8. Work independently, handle multiple tasks, and maintain a positive attitude.
  9. Report to work as scheduled and on time.
  10. Possess basic computer skills.
Skills and/or Competencies
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to write basic communications and understand on-the-job standards.
  • Effective presentation of information in one-on-one or small group settings.
  • Apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions.
Education/Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in manufacturing.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
Physical Demands and Working Environment

Must perform duties in a plant environment exposed to heat, noise, dirt, dust, and odors. Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and have specific vision capabilities. Manual dexterity is necessary for handling tools and parts.
