Job summary

Gene B. Glick Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Cambridge Square Hamburg apartment community (150 units). You will maintain interior and exterior spaces and respond to maintenance requests to ensure resident satisfaction.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, EPA designation/certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work overtime and after-hours emergencies. A $1,000 hiring bonus is offered after six months.

Qualifications

• Able to work overtime and emergency call in.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests promptly and courteously.
• Repair and maintain electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.
• Repair, install and maintain basic appliances (refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer/dryer).
• Service, maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
• Repair carpeting and tile.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair building exteriors and interior common areas.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Cleaning and housekeeping of common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartments for market-ready condition, including cleaning and painting.
• Provide resident support and respond to after-hours emergency calls.

Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 150-unit Cambridge Square Hamburg apartment community.

• We are offering a one-time $1,000 hiring bonus for this position (paid after 6 months of employment)*

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the exterior and interior of the property and provide resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician must be able to perform the following tasks:

• Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.


• Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.


• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.


• Repair, install and maintain basic appliances such as refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.


• Service, maintain and trouble shoot HVAC systems.


• Repair carpeting and tile.


• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal.


• Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas.


• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
