Job summary

Drury Hotels Company, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to ensure the safe, efficient operation of hotel facilities in Tallahassee, FL. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC, and perform carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall work.

The role requires strong maintenance skills, the ability to troubleshoot and train junior team members, and collaboration with management on staffing and guest safety.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills.
• Ability to dismantle equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations for pool maintenance.
• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel.
• Ability to speak, write and receive direction in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.

• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs.
• Contribute to an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly guest service.

What you will do:

• Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair
• Implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response and injury prevention
• Keep detailed records and reports
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members
