Job summary

Drury Inn & Suites in St. Joseph, MO is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to keep our property safe and well-maintained. You will perform repairs on plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, handle carpentry and painting tasks, and support preventative maintenance programs.

You will also help with safety training, keep records, and assist in recruiting for the department while delivering friendly guest service.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills with the ability to handle multiple systems.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC and basic carpentry tasks.
• Familiarity with water chemistry and pool maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Complete light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.
• Implement and monitor safety programs in compliance with regulations.
• Keep detailed records and reports; provide training to technicians.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs and contribute to guest experience.
