Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform mid to expert level break‑fix and preventative maintenance, including observing devices in operation, dismantling equipment, detecting imperfections, adjusting functional parts, repairing or replacing defective parts, testing performance, and conducting electrical and mechanical system tests.
• Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as needed.
• Executes maintenance independently in accordance with industry standards.
• Set up and operate multiple machining operations such as lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and repair parts; may perform welding tasks.
• Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Drive and participate in continuous improvement activities – processes, results, and cost savings.
• Update records and review CMMS history.
• Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues.
• Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
• Assist lower‑level technicians and leadership with small teams; provide advanced functions as part of training and development.
• Complete on‑the‑job and technical self‑study programs for career development.
• Follow all safety‑related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines; maintain situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associate’s degree with a technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; able to analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Proficient with basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• May be required to travel.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Employee regularly required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. Occasional sit. Must be able to lift and or move more than 50 pounds. Requires close vision and color vision. Often exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work performed in a factory environment; loud. May be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.

Pay Range

• $27.37 – $35.01 USD
