Job summary

FITS LLC in Puerto Rico seeks a Manufacturing Technician to operate and maintain equipment in our manufacturing area, upholding the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate holds an associate degree with two years in regulated industrial mechanics, is bilingual (English/Spanish), and can troubleshoot semi- and fully automated equipment, pneumatics, instrumentation, lasers, and vision systems.

Teamwork, safety, and ethical work practices are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required with 2 years in industrial mechanics in regulated industry.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
  • Experience troubleshooting automated equipment and supporting process improvements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure high quality.
  • Monitor production activities, troubleshoot issues, and support process improvements.
  • Devise, fabricate, install, test and repair mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Assist engineers with technical solutions for devices and systems.
  • Install, repair, and upgrade mechanical components in the manufacturing area.
  • Assemble new or modified mechanical components for machinery.
  • Conduct quality assurance and control tests and procedures.

  • Associate Degree with two (2) years of experience in industrial mechanics within the regulated industry.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).
  • Project Management skills.
  • Shift: Administrative shift, according to business needs.
  • Experience in:
    • Troubleshooting semi-and fully-automated equipment
    • Pneumatics, electro-pneumatics, instrumentation, lasers, and vision systems

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)
  • The Manufacturing Technician is integral to the production process, responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment to uphold the highest quality standards.
  • This role involves monitoring production activities, troubleshooting issues, and supporting process improvements. With a focus on detail and safety, the Manufacturing Technician helps maintain the smooth, efficient operation of manufacturing operations.
  • Devises, fabricates, installs, tests, and repairs mechanical equipment and systems involving the movement of physical components in the manufacturing area.
  • Assists engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of devices and systems.
  • Installs, repairs, and upgrades components of mechanical devices and systems in the manufacturing area.
  • Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components for machinery and equipment.
  • Conducts quality assurance/control tests and procedures.
